Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Terminajig, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

License

Terminajig is free to download and try. A one-time $10 payment grants a perpetual, non-transferable license key, tied to your email address, that unlocks the terminal shell. One key works on up to three of your personal machines. Without a license, the app runs in a locked state: you can launch the device, browse and apply skins, and customize it — but starting a shell session requires a license.

Disclaimer of warranties

Terminajig is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The entire risk as to the quality, performance, and results of using the software is with you.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall Terminajig, its developer, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You assume all risk and responsibility for your use of the software, including any damage to your system or loss of data.

User responsibility

Terminajig provides a terminal interface to your Mac's shell. You are solely responsible for the commands you run, the programs and CLI tools you invoke through it, and any consequences of those actions. What happens inside the terminal is entirely your responsibility. Terminajig is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party tool you choose to run inside it, and we are not responsible for the behavior, output, availability, or costs of those tools.

Community content

The Terminajig community marketplace lets licensed users upload, share, and download user-generated skins. By uploading a skin, you:

• Represent that you have the right to distribute it and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights;
• Grant Terminajig a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and promote it on the marketplace;
• Retain ownership of your original work — the license above is for distribution purposes only;
• Agree that your content may be validated, scanned, and flagged by automated tools (including the skin validator) before and after publication;
• Accept that we may remove content that violates these terms, is reported by other users, or is deemed harmful, at our sole discretion.

Downloaded community content is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that community-uploaded skins are free of defects, compatible with your system, or safe for any particular use. Use community content at your own risk.

Prohibited content

You may not upload content that:

• Contains malicious code or attempts to access anything beyond what a skin needs (an image and its layout manifest);
• Impersonates another person or misrepresents authorship;
• Infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights;
• Contains offensive, hateful, or illegal material;
• Attempts to circumvent the skin validator, the license system, or any security measure;
• Is spam, duplicative, or uploaded in bad faith.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban at our sole discretion.

Age restriction

Terminajig is not intended for anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

Export compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws, including U.S. Export Administration Regulations and OFAC sanctions programs. You may not use Terminajig if you are located in an embargoed country or are on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Terminajig, its developer, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the software, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, seated in Denver, Colorado, and you waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. Any action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.

Severability & entire agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remain in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Terminajig regarding the software and supersede all prior agreements.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Terminajig after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
